In 2014, Jordanian designer Tala came across the art of embroidery. Although she’d never tried her hand at it before, she was inspired and bought herself a machine to experiment with from an office room in her parent’s house. Tala taught herself how to operate, maintain, and nurture this new talent. This led to the creation of Stitch, everyone’s favorite one-stop shop for all things embroidery.
The designs started gaining popularity and Stitch was getting recognized at local pop-ups and exhibitions for its prominent Eastern-themed embroidered pieces.
After getting requests to include baby wear, Stitch introduced their second line of personalized items, making Stitch the go-to destination for newborn gifts.
Her sister, Zaina, decided to join the Stitch team after completing her fashion degree in London to help take the business to the next level. At this point, Stitch had various collections, ranging from home decor to towels to baby wear with the aim of including embroidery in everything they design and produce.
Stitch soon moved into a bigger workshop to serve the increasing demand of products from their online ordering services. The studio offers worldwide shipping and has recently launched a section on their website to enable instant customization.
